Day 141, Rainy Haze

Day 141.jpg

~Rainy Haze~

Chilled and warm kisses

Gracing my skin and senses

Rejuvenation.

Today this song just is sticking in my head since I woke. “Rain drops keep falling on my head” So, I thought of a haiku to capture my times in Florida dancing in the rain and just feeling electrified by the atmosphere, and my love for a good storm to remind us of our frail place in it all. This song stuck and the meaning in the lyrics is something to appreciate as well. Although there’s lots of us that love rain drops falling on our head along with the following thunderstorms and Lightning streaking across the sky. Anyhow I share a visual I took of a strong person I know and his abilities to weather the storms no matter the size always impress and inspire me. One of the many reasons I love this imperfect photo. Maybe this is stuck in my head on loop because its one of the many songs that always makes me smile and sing. I love this version I’m sure my parents played at some point while I was younger by Billy Joe “B.J. Thomas” Look on whatever platform you like hopefully the music resonates with you as well. (Rain drops keep falling on my head)

Lol maybe it’s stuck in my head because to help me sleep when I can’t. I listen to a 10-hour soundtrack of rainstorms, with copious amounts of rolling thunder and lightning. Could be a connection there, could be.

-Raindrops Keep Falling On My Head-

Raindrops are falling on my head
And just like the guy whose feet are too big for his bed
Nothing seems to fit
Those raindrops are falling on my head, they keep falling

So I just did me some talking to the sun
And I said I didn’t like the way he got things done
Sleeping on the job
Those raindrops are falling on my head, they keep fallin’

But there’s one thing I know
The blues they send to meet me
Won’t defeat me, it won’t be long
‘Till happiness steps up to greet me

Raindrops keep falling on my head
But that doesn’t mean my eyes will soon be turning red
Crying’s not for me
‘Cause I’m never gonna stop the rain by complaining
Because I’m free
Nothing’s worrying me

It won’t be long ’till happiness steps up to greet me

Raindrops keep falling on my head
But that doesn’t mean my eyes will soon be turning red
Crying’s not for me
‘Cause I’m never gonna stop the rain by complaining
Because I’m free, ’cause nothing’s worrying me

Songwriters: Burt Bacharach / Hal David
